Japan, Brazil join scramble for Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 5 (UPI) -- Japan and Brazil are joining the scramble for Africa's mineral resources. But they're trailing a long way behind China, whose cash-rich, state-backed conglomerates have locked up strategic supplies of oil and raw materials over the last few years.
