Nanodust Cloud Shrouding the Moon Is Spawned by Meteoroid Impacts

The moon is shrouded by an unstable cloud of "nanodust" kicked up by cosmic impacts, and lit up by sunlight, a new study finds. Similar clouds of teeny dust particles may envelop other airless bodies, researchers say.
