Survival rates for patients at high risk of relapse of childhood leukemia improve with high doses of chemotherapy drug

Up to 20 percent of patients with high risk of relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are not cured. That could change with the results from a clinical trial that shows giving high doses of a commonly-used chemotherapy drug increases survival rates.
