Differences in metabolic rates of exploited, unexploited fish populations

Researchers compared populations of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) taken from unexploited reference populations with those from inland recreational fisheries. Results suggest recreational angling may act as evolutionary force influencing metabolic rates.
