Is Europe equipped with enough medical oncologists? Horizon still unknown

A recent paper assessing the current number of medical oncologists in the 27 European Union countries and predicting their availability by 2020 raises worries about the lack of information in many Eastern European countries. A call has been made for all European countries to work together to discuss a system that allows to obtain such data and continuously monitor the situation with regards to the increasing cancer burden.
