Triple DMARD therapy is more cost-effective than methotrexate monotherapy in treating rheumatoid arthritis, study suggests

Using a combination of three traditional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs for treating recent-onset rheumatoid arthritis is not only more cost-effective, but results in better long-term worker productivity than a monotherapy approach using methotrexate, according to new research.
