A Plea for Plundered Rosewood

An article in the journal Science describes the rosewood situation in Madagascar, where timber barons are taking advantage of a weak and unstable government to loot the rainforest of trees found nowhere else on earth. It makes the case that Malagasy rosewood deserves the protection of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
