Spend an evening with champions

More than a dozen Olympian figure skaters will take to the ice for a cause later this month as part of the42nd annual “An Evening with Champions.” Over the past 41 years, “An Evening with Champions” has raised more than $2.5 million for the Jimmy Fund, which supports adult and pediatric cancer care and research. The events will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Harvard’s Bright Hockey Center. Among the stars who will take to the ice for this year’s exhibition are three-time U.S. National Champion Jeremy Abbott, 2006 World Champion Kimmie Meissner, 2011 U.S. National Champion Ryan Bradley, and two-time Olympic champions (1964, 1968) Ludmila and Oleg Protopopov. Also appearing are two-time World Junior Medalist Agnes Zawadzki, 2009-10 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and Harvard freshman Christina Gao, 2005 U.S. junior pewter medalist Douglas Razzano, 2008 and 2009 U.S. bronze medalists Kim Navarro...
