D.C. attorney general sues Facebook over alleged failure to protect user data

For the first time, the attorney general of Washington, D.C. is suing Facebook over its alleged failure to protect users' personal data. They started investigating Facebook earlier this year after the company allowed political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica to obtain user data.
