Astronauts return to space from U.S. soil

SpaceX's first mission with astronauts on board launched at 3:22 p.m. EDT on May 30, 2020, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This was the first crewed launch from U.S. soil since the space shuttle era ended in 2011. The launch was initially scheduled to take place May 27, but was scrubbed minutes before liftoff due to bad weather.
