Heftiest Star Discovery Shatters Cosmic Record

A team of astronomers in Europe have discovered the most massive stars to date, with one tipping the scale at birth at more than 300 times the mass of the sun. This hefty star is also twice the mass of the currently accepted limit of 150 solar masses.
