Facebook emotions can be 'viral' but aren't very contagious, study finds

Does reading a friend's happy post on Facebook make you happier? This seems to be the case, according to research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) today – we may well be affected by the emotional content we see every day on our Facebook feed.
