Perseids, biggest meteor shower of the year, light up night skies

The biggest meteor shower of the year peaked early Thursday morning but stargazers will have until Aug. 24 to catch a glimpse of the Perseids as the annual passage of comet Swift-Tuttle leaves a trail of debris across the night sky.
