Niagara Falls partially frozen

The return of frigid temperatures brought on by a polar vortex affecting southern Ontario has caused parts of Niagara Falls to freeze, giving the appearance that the falls have stopped flowing. The last time American Falls, the smallest of the three waterfalls, froze almost completely was in 1912.
