Chemist who warned of ozone 'hole' dies

CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., March 12 (UPI) -- F. Sherwood Rowland, a Nobel-prize winning chemist who first warned man-made chemicals could erode the ozone layer, has died in California, officials said.
