U.Va. Researcher Receives $1.3 Million to Develop Smoking Cessation

Dr. Scott Strayer, physician and researcher in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia Health System received $1.3 million from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the National Institutes of Health, to further develop and evaluate an online smoking cessation tool that puts information and counseling techniques in the hands of primary care physicians – literally.
