Moon Craters Named for 50th Anniversary of Apollo 8 'Earthrise'

Two lunar craters visible in an astronaut's photo of Earth rising above the moon have been formally named in honor of the 50th anniversary of the mission that captured the view. The International Astronomical Union approved the Apollo 8-inspired names.
