Jupiter's Great Red Spot is Also Red Hot, Study Shows

The hottest-known temperatures in Jupiter's atmosphere have been observed above the Great Red Spot (GRS), suggesting the ginormous Jovian storm may be fueling the extreme heat observed in the planet's upper atmosphere, new research shows.
