Supermassive Black Holes Even Heavier Than Thought

Researchers have measured the distance to the active galaxy NGC 4151, dubbed "The Eye of Sauron," with unprecedented precision. This calculation enabled them to determine that NGC 4151's central black hole is 40 percent more massive than thought.
