164-Foot Asteroid Buzzes Earth On Same Day Its Discovered | Orbit Animation

The space rock, named 2013 PJ10, made a surprisingly close fly-by on August 4th, 2013. The La Sangra Sky Survey discovered it on the same day. Its closest approach was about 238,900 miles away (384,000 km) or Lunar Distance.
