11 million will lose health insurance if ACA subsidies are eliminated, study finds

Several lawsuits have challenged the legality of the subsidies that help low- and moderate-income people buy private health insurance through marketplaces set up under the federal Affordable Care Act. A new study finds that eliminating those subsidies would sharply boost costs for consumers and cause more than 11 million Americans to lose their health insurance.
