Getting heavier, younger: U-M study shows generational shift in obesity

Ann Arbor, Mich. -- It was a provocative prediction that due to the obesity epidemic Baby Boomers may outlive their children. But a new study by the University of Michigan Health System on obesity trends shows Americans are getting heavier younger and carrying the extra weight for longer periods over their lifetime.
