Coherent energy policy needed across EU

The need to maintain a stable and affordable energy supply, coupled with growing demands to switch to renewable 'green' sources, are placing increasing pressure on EU electric utilities. To help companies effectively juggle these multiple and often conflicting demands, policymakers should adopt a more coherent approach in their energy policy. These are the main findings of PhD research conducted by Francesca Ciulli, who will obtain her doctorate from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) on Tuesday, 5 July.
