Vermont scientists created a mechanism to measure happiness of millions of bloggers. Their "hedonometer" gathers sentences beginning "I feel..." Then, applying standardized "psychological valence" of words, each sentence receives a happiness score. The happiest day in four years: Election Day 2008.
