University of Scranton Co-Sponsors International Conference on Bat Research Including "White-Nose Syndrome"

The mysterious "white-nose syndrome," which causes hundreds of thousands of bats to die each year in the northeastern U.S. during hibernation, will be discussed by prominent bat researchers from nearly 30 countries at the 38th Annual North American Symposium on Bat Research. Representatives from the media are welcome to attend this discussion - the FIRST group discussion on white-nose syndrome - on Oct. 25, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
