Eric Frein found guilty by jury on all charges for killing of Pennsylvania state trooper in 2014 ahead of two-month manhunt, will face death penalty. The man accused of killing a Pennsylvania state trooper in September 2014 and then leading investigators on a nearly 50-day manhunt was convicted on all counts against him by a jury on Wednesday. Eric Frein, 33, had faced 12 charges, including first-degree murder, terrorism and use of weapons of mass destruction. His trial now enters the penalty phase, where jurors will have to decide between a death sentence or life in prison.
