Broccoli Compound Could Prevent Radiation Sickness

A compound found in broccoli, cabbage and other cruciferous vegetables can shield rats from acute radiation sickness, raising the possibility that the compound could be used to reduce radiation exposure in cancer therapy or after a nuclear exposure.
