The hurricane is expected to weaken and stay out to sea before grazing the Massachusetts coast Saturday.A weakened Hurricane Earl brushed past North Carolina's fragile Outer Banks with stiff winds and high waves Thursday night as it struck a glancing blow before spinning offshore up the Eastern Seaboard.
