Least Bell's vireos nesting in Playa Vista area

Two pairs of the endangered bird have been found nesting at or near the Playa Vista development. A co-president says the discoveries vindicate the developer's oft-maligned restoration efforts. A bird the size of a soda can is ruffling the waters at Playa Vista, and bird-lovers are greeting the news with chirps of joy.
