You can't battle the disease without medicine. But medicine alone is not enough. The 17th International AIDS Conference opens today in Mexico City, and all the big pharmaceutical and medical supply companies will be there, including Merck; Pfizer; Becton, Dickinson and Co.; Glaxo- SmithKline; Abbott Laboratories and many others. With each passing year, this meeting has been looking increasingly like a giant trade fair.
