Earthquake started about eight miles under Chino Hills

Researchers are still trying to identify the specific fault involved in this morning's 5.4 earthquake. The magnitude-5.4 earthquake that shook Los Angeles this morning had a relatively shallow origin, about eight miles under the Chino Hills southeast of Diamond Bar.
