New Arboretum director hosts meet and greet

Arnold Arboretum neighbors, colleagues, friends, and supporters are invited to meet the arboretum’s new director, William Friedman, and hear his plans for the arboretum. The arboretum will host two “meet the director” events, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required. Friedman, also the Arnold Professor of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, has established the Director’s Lecture Series in which nationally recognized experts will examine an array of contemporary topics related to Earth’s biodiversity and evolutionary history, the environment, conservation biology, and key social issues associated with current science.
